The façade
Façade composed of 4 registers surmounted by a restrained gable in the baroque spirit. The decoration is limited to the arms of the Duchy of Brabant surrounded by the crests of its 4 cities: Leuven, Antwerp, Brussels and Bois-le-Duc.
History and restorations
Reconstruction around 1709 of a house with a wooden gable façade. Façades rebuilt in 1896-1899; most recent restoration by the City completed in 2012.
Did you know
The main and side façades were rebuilt at the same time in 1896-1899, which was a remarkable technical achievement.
