The façade
Large façade finished with a large baroque gable. Decorative program (or scheme) consisting of 5 busts installed in the 19th century, representing Gambrinus surrounded by fire, hops, wheat and water.
History and restorations
Rebuilt in 1699. Restoration in 1895-1908; cleaned in 1986-1987 and new intervention in 2012.
Did you know
Bavaria is not a kingdom. The name of the house was invented in 1860. Previously, it was called "Alsemberg" and then "At the King of Spain's House”. Until recently, the house had a less prestigious address: Nos. 2-4 rue des Chapeliers.
