The façade

Monumental façade in baroque style with a classical appearance, remarkably well balanced, with giant order, antique-style pediment and gable. Decorative program with a bust of Saint Barbara in the circular transom window above the entrance and free-standing statue of Saint Boniface at the top of the gable.

History and restorations

Rebuilt in 1697 (Architect Willem De Bruyne). Restorations in 1879-1880 and 1898-1899; most recent restoration by the City completed in 2012.
